Invisalign could shift your teeth to:

  • Close the gaps between your teeth
  • Rotate teeth into proper alignment
  • Intrude or push teeth in for smile harmony
  • Widen our narrow arches for a full, bright smile

After a full examination of radiographs and eradication of any teeth with decay, a smile analysis will be done. Dr. Levingart will sit down and talk with you about what you don’t like about your smile, or perhaps an issue Dr. Levingart sees with your bite or mal-alignment. Photos will be taken of your teeth and smile along with impressions of your upper and lower teeth with a putty-like material.

These records will be sent to our partners at Invisalign. In two weeks, we will invite you back to the office to review the ClinCheck. The ClinCheck is a 3D simulation of the movement planned in your treatment. This amazing program will show us estimated treatment time, and describe the calculated movements of each tooth. Once approved, your Invisalign treatment will be shipped out and be at our office in just a few days, and we’ll prepare to start your treatment!

Your next visit will be comprised of adding small attachments (or tooth-coloured buttons) to your teeth to act as anchors during movement. These buttons are specifically designed to turn, torque, and push teeth, and because they’re tooth colored, they are hardly noticeable. Once treatment is complete, these attachments will be removed. Any contouring will also be done between the teeth to create space for movement. Your first tray will be inserted and you will be instructed on how to put in and remove the trays, as well as how to clean them.

Our patients return within two weeks to assess the treatment and give the patient their next two trays. Generally, we will see you once every two months until treatment is complete. Time will fly, and with every visit, your teeth will be straighter and straighter! As long as you wear the trays 22 hours a day, your treatment will be successful.

Included in a full Invisalign treatment are three refinements. A refinement will help tweak the final results, making sure every tooth has achieved its desired movement. Once alignment is complete you will be fitted for retainers and completion photos will be taken!
